CURIO is a discovery puzzle for iOS, Android, and the web. This policy explains what data the app stores and sends.
Data stored on your device
CURIO stores game progress, preferences, and local save slots on your device. This data is not uploaded as part of game saving. CURIO does not require an account or login.
Optional analytics and error reporting
Analytics is off until you choose Allow in CURIO. If you allow it, CURIO sends pseudonymous gameplay events, error reports, and limited app and device context to PostHog Cloud EU. This can include session starts, discovery attempts, progress counts, game mode, world stage, achievements, recipe identifiers, and error information.
CURIO does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or free-text content. The game works fully without analytics. You can change your choice at any time in Settings.
Optional study events are stored on this device only when analytics is enabled. They are not part of your game save.
Service provider
PostHog processes analytics data for CURIO. The service uses encrypted connections. PostHog publishes its own privacy information at posthog.com/privacy.
Why we use this data
When enabled, we use analytics to understand the game loop, improve clarity, and fix errors. We do not sell the data or use it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
Local game data remains on your device until you delete a save, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Analytics data remains only as long as needed for product analysis and error handling, subject to the configured retention settings of the analytics service.
